Our penultimate project this month we spotted had just been finished is Mosquito's interesting NZXT H230 case mod Visible Contrast. The finished article itself is certainly interesting enough, but the real icing on the cake is a combined transparent LCD screen and side window. By mounting a stripped-down LCD screen to the side window slot with clear acrylic as a backing, the window is able to display a ghostly image and provide a view to the internals at the same time. We particularly like the droplets window below.





XFX Fire & Ice by jj_sky5000

Our final project this month is yet another totally unique project. jj_sky5000 has used resin to create a solid ice effect for his scratchbuilt case - XFX Fire & Ice. Using a technique not dissimilar to releasing fibreglass from molds, the effect is very realistic thanks to the use of tin foil to start with, creating an uneven surface that looks just like ice.
